Regular Daily Tours - Day and Evening
Tours are offered everyday at 7pm. The tour begins at Signer Park at
5th and Chestnut streets. The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes.
The tour takes you around Independence National Park and
beautiful colonial Society Hill. Walk through the heart of American
History and witness where George Washington, John Adams, Ben
Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Dolly Madison, Betsy Ross, and Alexander
Hamilton slept, ate, drank, worshiped and conducted business. You
will see the peak of American craftmanship and architecture and
learn why Thomas Jefferson called Philadelphia, "the Athens of the
colonies".
Philadelphia was the financial, cultural, social, technological, and
medical center of the colonies where the brightest minds and
craftiest hands visited and stayed to practice and learn. See what
part Philadelphia played during America's infancy and feel the
undeniable effect it had on the minds that crafted the United States
government and the American way of life.
